What is the Salsa Mambo Festival? |
This event is a gathering of dancers, musicians, vendors, performers and instructors to meet and share their love for dancing; especially Salsa & Mambo. Days are filled with multiple workshops running simultaneously from 9AM - 4PM that cater to dancers from beginner to advanced levels. Afterwards, enjoy a fun-filled pool party for the whole family. Then, after dinner get ready for amazing performances and showcases topped off with high energy social dancing until 4AM! |
When is the Salsa Mambo Festival? |
This event takes place in the summer (last weekend of July) and in the winter (last week of December) at the Dorel Princess Resort in Palm Springs, CA. The Salsa Mambo Festival is truly the only Salsa/Mambo event that is managed by professionals in Southern California! |
What should I wear to the workshops? |
Dress comfortably. Many wear workout clothing. We recommend a light shirt, light sweatpants and dance shoes. You will be very active and moving around. We also recommend bringing a dance bag with breath mints, a hand towel, a notepad and water/sports drink |
What should I wear to the evening festivities |
Get ready for our themed nights! You are not be required to dress in theme attire but it will be a LOT OF FUN!

Do I need a dance partner? |
You don't need a partner at all. In fact, there are few instances where you keep the same partner during the entire workshop. Most instructors rotate partners throughout the class. Doing so, gives you a chance to experience different leads/follows, and meet new people. Come with or without a partner, and bring your friends, the more the merrier! |
Is video recording allowed? |
Video recording is NOT ALLOWED during the workshops and performances. At the end of the workshop the instructor may give a video opportunity to attendees at the workshop only. This is the instructor's option, and is not required. |
Is the event family friendly? |
Absolutely! This event is
family friendly. We play games on the dance floor, in the pool, and
during our workshops! The extended weekend event is chalk-full of
kid and adult games that are clean, fun, and for EVERYONE to enjoy!
Feel free to let go and just be a "kid" again! Simply "enjoy"
learning the fantabulous skill of social dancing for a change! YOU
WILL HAVE A BLAST!! Our event is certain to change your life forever!!
