I was so grateful for that because I only started dancing 4 months ago and I was a bit nervous about not having anyone to dance with!" Dearest Sonyo, I just wanted to tell you what an absolutely fabulous time I had at the Salsa Mambo Festival. It was the most fun I have ever had!! Amanda and I had such a blast, and were so blessed going to such a magnificent event. I will keep coming at least once a year, and I will tell everyone about it! I wanted you to know how much I appreciate that you put all of this together and how wonderful it was! I loved all of the classes that we were able to attend...and all of the amazing instructors! We met the most wonderful people, and it was such a friendly environment! I was so grateful for that because I only started dancing 4 months ago and I was a bit nervous about not having anyone to dance with! NOT AT ALL THE CASE. At times, I had to leave because I couldn't sit down and rest! Again, the event was just darn fabulous and I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Edie, i'm sooooooooooooo glad i got to attend the salsa festival at palm springs :) i would say that was my best salsa experience ever! and that's all thanks to you! you are one of the most amazing people i have ever met....... you are a great exciting inspiring person.......you have taught me soooooooo much more in those 4 short days then anyone in my 8 month salsa experience! anyone would be more than lucky to be your student and i hope that sometime in the near future i'll be at least half as good as you are.......Jesus has given you an amazing talent and I'm glad you share it with others :) i cant wait for next year to come again! i hope to hear from you! and thanks so much again :) p.s. you are my inspiration :) Nina

Keeping the performers, instructors and people happy and well satisfied is something so often overlooked at other events. Simply by having that big- screen alone, keeping the Artists and Guests as their primary concern, the promoters went far above and beyond anything I've ever experienced at any Dance Convention to date..."The Saturday night shows were astounding. The performance groups stunned and amazed the audience with humor, wit, and talent, show and after show.... anonymous

You are a wonderful teacher (even on very little sleep, how do you do it?) and SO positive and generous. I started dancing this year after my divorce. Salsa has been a great way to connect with new friends and to spend time with men in a safe and positive way. To quote you..."vertically"! Falling in love with the music and trying to learn this incredible dance will be a lifetime endeavor for me. Your articles about your own experiences have helped me through my growing pains. My significant other has been in group classes where the instructor called her "clunky" in front of the other students, and she has taken private lessons where she has gotten inadequate, dismissive, or inconsistent instructions -- so she sometimes suffers from a crisis of confidence in her own abilities. Despite that, she is a good dancer who can spin 15 or 20 times and can follow almost any lead. You pointed her to a way to improve her dancing style and appearance, and that's what she was looking for. Again, many thanks! - Salsero
